Maple Roasted Root Vegetables
A touch of Canadian maple sweetness is an amazing complementary flavour for roasted root vegetables.
4 medium carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
3 large parsnips, peeled and cut into sticks
1 small turnip, peeled and cut into sticks
1 large sweet potato or yam, cut into sticks or wedges
2 large onions, cut into wedges
2 - 3 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp maple syrup
Rosemary Garlic Seasoning, or your favourite, to taste
Maple Bacon Sea Salt - Grinder, to taste
Maple Bacon Pepper - Grinder, to taste
- Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).
- Toss together 8 first ingredients. Season to taste.
- Place on a Sheet Pan lined with a Sheet Pan Liner and cover with foil. Bake 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until vegetables are fork-tender.
