One Pot Spaghetti
One Pot Spaghetti

In 20 minutes, you’ll have a light ‘n fresh tomato sauce with tender, twirly noodles ready to go—and there’s only one pot to clean! We love how this is a budget-friendly, bare-bones recipe, but makes a meal both kids and adults will love to eat.


Ingredients

Toppings (optional): fresh basil, extra Parmesan cheese

Preparation
  1. Dice tomatoes, reserving the juices.  
  2. In a large non-stick pan or a large pot over medium heat, add tomatoes, reserved juices, and oil. Cook 2–3 min, or until tomatoes are tender.  
  3. Add broth, seasoning, and sauce mix. Add spaghetti, pressing down to submerge pasta in liquid. If the pot or pan is not wide enough, break spaghetti in half.    
  4. Cover; cook 10–12 min, or until pasta is al dente. Reduce heat to medium-low if liquid is bubbling too vigorously.     
  5. If pasta is not cooked within 12 min, add a bit more broth, cover, and cook an additional 1–2 min. Alternatively, if pasta sauce is too watery by the time the pasta is done, uncover and cook an extra few min to let excess liquid evaporate.    
  6. Remove from heat, top with parmesan, and serve.
Tips

No fresh tomatoes? Use what you have! Use 1 can (14 oz/398 ml) diced tomatoes instead.

Perfectly Balance Your Plate

Serve with three Classic Meatballs and 2 cups leafy greens with a squeeze of lemon juice.
