This recipe is for one luxurious cup or two small servings. Double the recipe if there is a crowd.


Ingredients
2 tsp
After Ate Tea
34 cup
boiling water
2 tsp
cocoa powder
2 tsp
sugar, or to taste
12 cup
low-fat milk
1 oz
bourbon or rum, optional

Preparation
  1. Steep tea in water for 5 minutes and strain.
  2. In a small saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, and half of the brewed tea to make a smooth paste with no lumps.
  3. Whisk in the milk and the remaining tea. Heat gently until hot, but do not boil.
  4. Whisk in the bourbon or rum if using, and serve!
Tips

For a little decadence, top with some marshmallows, whipped cream, or ice cream, and a dusting of Cinnamon or nutmeg.
