After Ate Hot Chocolate

This recipe is for one luxurious cup or two small servings. Double the recipe if there is a crowd.
Ingredients
2 tsp After Ate Tea
3⁄4 cup boiling water
2 tsp cocoa powder
2 tsp sugar, or to taste
1⁄2 cup low-fat milk
1 oz bourbon or rum, optional
Preparation
- Steep tea in water for 5 minutes and strain.
- In a small saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, and half of the brewed tea to make a smooth paste with no lumps.
- Whisk in the milk and the remaining tea. Heat gently until hot, but do not boil.
- Whisk in the bourbon or rum if using, and serve!
