Maple Baked Bean Chili
Perfectly Balance Your Plate
Serve with 2 cups leafy greens and 1 tbsp Epicure Salad Dressing, your choice.
1 can (19 oz/540 ml) unsalted navy beans, or beans of your choice
1⁄2 lb (225 g) lean ground beef
1 can (28 oz/796 ml) unsalted diced tomatoes
3 tbsp maple syrup
Toppings (optional): grated cheese, sliced green onion
- Drain and rinse beans; place in Round Steamer. Crumble in beef; add seasoning. Stir gently to combine. Cover and microwave on high 5 min, or until beef is cooked through.
- Remove from microwave. Add tomatoes and maple syrup. Stir well. Cover and microwave on high 5–6 min, or until heated through.
- Divide between four bowls; add toppings, if desired.

For a thicker chili, microwave with Round Steamer lid ajar, in increments of 1 min, until desired thickness is reached.
No Round Steamer? No problem! Simply use Multipurpose Pot and prepare on stovetop.
