Turmeric & Ginger Simple Syrup:
1 cup sugar
1⁄2 - 1 tbsp simple syrup
2 tbsp or 1 oz. each tequila, orange-flavoured liqueur (such as Triple Sec or Grand Marnier), and lime or lemon juice
- For syrup, in small saucepan, combine tea and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium. Simmer until sugar is dissolved, 3 to 5 minutes. Cool before using, about 30 minutes. (Make ahead: refrigerate up to 1 month.)
- For each cocktail, fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add syrup, tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice. Shake to mix; pour into chilled margarita glass.
