Ingredients
2 tsp
sesame or avocado oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
6
boneless, skinless chicken thighs
2 tbsp
honey
1 tbsp
orange juice
1 tbsp
soy sauce or tamari
6
burger buns

Toppings (optional): Roasted Garlic Aioli, lettuce, sliced tomatoes & onions, sprouts, pickles

Preparation
  1. In Sauté Pan or cast-iron pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.  
  2. Meanwhile, sprinkle 2 tbsp seasoning over chicken. Add salt and pepper, to taste.  
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together remaining seasoning, honey, orange juice, and soy sauce.  
  4. Once pan is heated, add chicken, cook 2 min, or until it releases easily from the pan. Flip; pour reserved sauce overtop. Flip occasionally to coat pieces of chicken. Cook until an instant read thermometer registers at 165° F.  
  5. Once cooked, remove from heat; place chicken on cutting board. If you have time, rest 5 min.  
  6. Tuck chicken into buns and add optional toppings, if desired.  
Tips

To get that perfect “crust” on your chicken, your pan needs to be hot! To test if it’s hot enough, carefully add a drop of water to the pan with oil: it should make the oil sizzle. 

Don’t want a burger or don’t have buns on hand? Serve on a bed of rice with a side salad. This is also a great way to cook once, eat twice! 

Swap chicken thighs for 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut lengthwise—you should have 6 pieces.
