We love the full flavour of these burgers made with our Burger Seasoning. Perfect to make ahead (when beef is on sale!) and freeze to enjoy later.

Ingredients
-
1 cup ketchup
-
3 1/2 lbs (1 1/2 kg) lean ground beef
- 1 cup Honey Mustard or Dijon-style mustard
-
⅓ cup Burger Seasoning
Directions
Crumble beef into a large bowl. Add seasoning, mustard, and ketchup. Using your hands, gently mix to combine evenly.
- Divide mixture into 12–14 portions and form each into a ball. Flatten to form patties.
Grill, cook or broil burgers.
Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high. Cook patties 3–5 minutes per side, depending on doneness preference.
Stovetop: Heat a skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high. Add a little oil if not using nonstick. Cook 3–5 minutes per side.
Broil: Place patties on a broiler pan and cook 4–6 minutes per side under the broiler.
Recipe Note
To Freeze Burgers
- Layer patties with parchment – Place a piece of parchment or wax paper between patties so they don’t stick together.
- Wrap or seal – Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or foil, or place in a freezer-safe bag/container. Remove as much air as possible to prevent freezer burn.
- Label – Write the date and contents. Raw patties keep well for up to 3 months.
- Cook from frozen – No need to thaw; just cook a little longer than fresh (about 5–7 minutes per side, depending on thickness).
