Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs

These slow cooker ribs are the ultimate set-it-and-forget-it meal. Cooked low and slow until tender, then brushed with barbecue sauce and finished in the oven, they deliver fall-apart, flavor-packed ribs perfect for during the week.

Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs (1.35 kg) baby back ribs, trimmed
  • 4 tbsp BBQ Chicken & Rib Rub
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Preparation

  1. Season ribs with rub
  2. Pour ½ cup water in the slow cooler and then add ribs. Scatter onions and minced garlic over top. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours or on HIigh for 4 hours.
  3. When ribs are almost finished, pre-heat the oven to 375F (190C).
  4. Transfer ribs from slow cooker to a sheet pan; discard onion. Coat ribs with barbecue sauce.
  5. Bake ribs in oven for 10 - 15 minutes or until sauce caramelizes and sticks to meat.
