Grandma’s Gingersnaps

Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1⁄4 cup dark molasses
1 egg
2 tsp baking soda
2 1⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tspSea Salt (Grinder)
1 tbsp Gingerbread Spices
1 cup granulated sugar
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C).
- Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses, mix thoroughly, then add egg and mix again.
- Sift next 4 ingredients. Add to creamed mixture.
- Form cookies into 3⁄4" balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on Sheet Pan lined with Sheet Pan Liner. Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon. Bake for 10 minutes.
