Ingredients


Makes: 6 C (1.4 L)
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) butter or oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour
  • 4 C (1 L) 2% milk, heated
  • 1 lb (450 g) broccoli, steamed and puréed
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Lemon Dilly Dip Mix, or Epicure dip mix, your choice
  • Sea Salt (Grinder), to taste
  • Black Pepper (Grinder), to taste

Preparation


 
  • In Multipurpose Pot - 12 C , melt butter over medium heat, sauté onion until soft, 3 minutes.
  • Stir in flour, 1 minutes.
  • Slowly whisk in milk. Bring to a slow boil whisking constantly, until sauce has thickened.
  • Whisk in broccoli purée and Lemon Dilly Dip Mix. Simmer for 5 more minutes.
  • Season with Salt and Pepper, if desired.
