This is it! Probably the easiest roast turkey recipe you will ever make. The hardest part is figuring out how long it’ll take to defrost that frozen turkey you picked up. Hint: defrost in the fridge. It takes 24 hours for every 5 lbs (2.26 kg).

Ingredients

1 pkg Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning

3 tbsp Holiday Seasoning

8–10 lbs (4-5 kg) turkey

oil (for brushing)

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Remove giblets and neck from turkey (use for stock or soup, if you wish). Place turkey breast-side up in a roasting pan. Brush with oil and rub on seasoning.

3. Roast for 15–20 min per 1 lb, or until a meat thermometer inserted into thigh reads 180° F.

4. Remove from oven; cover loosely with foil. Rest 15 min before carving.

Recipe Note

Tight on time? Consider roasting a turkey breast instead of the whole bird. Preheat oven to 375° F.  Brush 2–2½ lbs (1–1.2 kg) boneless turkey breast with oil, then rub on both Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning and Holiday Seasoning. Place on a lined sheet pan. Roast 45 min or until meat a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast reads 170° F. Rest 10 min before carving.
