Makes: 4 serving
  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef, turkey, chicken, or soy
  • 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Burger Seasoning
  • 2 C (500 ml) tomato pasta sauce – your choice
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) brown sugar
  • 8 slider hamburger buns, or 4 regular hamburger buns


  • In Fry Pan, cook meat and onion over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Stir in Seasoning for Burgers, pasta sauce, vinegar,and brown sugar. Reduce heat to medium. Cover and simmer to let flavours blend, approximately 8–10 minutes.
  • Place bottoms of buns on plates, then spoon mixture overtop. Cover with top buns.



Flavour Changer: Try Epicure Barbecue Seasoning or Beef & Steak Seasoning, or give it a Mexican twist with Epicure Taco Seasoning or Fajita Seasoning, instead of Burger Seasoning.

Serving Suggestion: Joes go great with baked Epicure Oven Fries or our Diner-Style Wedge Salad.
